TopoGraph

TopoGraph is an interactive visualization framwork for complex heterogenous networks. By providing not only a consise visualization, but also allowing for direct manipulation, TopoGraph boosts how interconnections between arbitrary entities can be conceived.

Thus, dependencies and interconnections between e.g. different departments, projects and associates of a company can easily be illuminated. Yet, the scale is not limited: different business units or even subsidiary companies can be included in one overall view.

TopoGraph is the flagship of Mach23.

Extraction / Gathering the data

The data can be obtained from a single or multiple databases, from files in various formats, via JSON and more. An extendable post-processing is included as well, such that TopoGraph can easily be adapted to a specific application.

Visualization / Seeing the data

The visualization is created based on relationships between the entities, yielding a network consisting of nodes connected via edges. Mathematically spoken, the data is structured in a high-dimensional graph, from which slices with reduced dimension are visualized.

Interact / Manipulating the data

A characteristica of complex data is, that there is no unique visualization. Even modern methods typically ignore this fact, which results in inferior conclusions. TopoGraph embraces the ambiguity typical for conplex data by using a dynamic visualization, which allows for direct interaction with the operator.
